Duty Drawback Services

Traders supports clients in reclaiming eligible duties, taxes, and fees through Canada’s drawback programs. Our team assists with claim preparation, filing, and compliance to help you identify and recover the refunds you’re entitled to.

How We Support Your Drawback Claims

Claim Preparation & CARM Filing

Preparation of drawback claims for eligible imports and exports, filed electronically through the CARM Client Portal for accurate and timely processing — with guidance throughout the submission process.

K32A / K32B Waiver Preparation

When more than one party is eligible to claim, waivers are required from the others. We assist with K32A (Certificate of Importation, Sale or Transfer) and K32B (Drawback Certificate of Sale for Exportation) waiver preparation, ensuring compliance with CBSA rules and minimizing delays.

Drawback Questions We Hear Often

What is duty drawback?
A refund of duties paid on imported goods that are subsequently exported from Canada — whether exported as-is or after further processing, subject to program conditions.
How long do I have to file a claim?
Generally, a drawback claim must be filed within four years of the release date of the imported goods. Timing rules vary for certain goods, so contact us early.
What if I’m not both the importer and the exporter?
Where more than one party is eligible to claim, the claimant needs waivers from the other eligible parties — this is where K32A and K32B certificates apply. We prepare these as part of the claim.
How are claims filed now?
Drawback claims are submitted electronically through the CARM Client Portal. We prepare and file claims on your behalf once portal delegation is in place — see our CARM Resources for how delegation works.
